Frenchman’s Farm is a chilling, supernatural suspense thriller with a clash of time-warp intrigue. It centers around young law student Jackie Grenville (Tracey Tainsh) who witnesses a murder on a dilapidated farm. But the police inform her the murder she saw was committed 40 years ago!
What attracted me to Frenchman's Farm (1987) was the VHS-cover including the distressed expression on the aforementioned Frenchman's face.....or so I thought. As the story developed it turned into your strangely unsettling creepy mystery/thrillers; the chases, the screams, the gore and then the compelling ending.

A ghostly Frenchman- brrr. I also got a nostalgic chuckle out of 80's Australianisms -the hairstyles, music, acting style etc. Frenchman's Farm is an okay way to spend a 100 minutes but I wouldn't seek it by any means and it's biggest plus in my book was simply not being grating and annoying as I had initially feared it might be.
