The Cold Light of Day is a 2012 action thriller film directed by Mabrouk El Mechri, starring Henry Cavill, Bruce Willis, and Sigourney Weaver.The film is about Will (Cavill), who finds that his family has been kidnapped by foreign agents who are searching for a briefcase stolen by Will's father (Willis), leading to Will taking matters into his own hands to find them.
Cold Light by John Harvey. Another very good novel in the Detective Inspector Charlie Resnick series set in Nottingham. As expected we find Charlie still living alone, in the formal matrimonial home, with his cats and the occasional jazz music, when he has time to relax.
Cold Light is both a coming-of-age story and a murder mystery of sorts. Our protagonist, Laura, is a lonely 24-year-old cleaner in an anonymous Northern city, and we meet her as she sits down to watch the televised unveiling of a memorial to her former 'best friend', Chloe, who died ten years before.
